catching up…
Well, my blog posting has fallen by the wayside. You know how carpenters are the ones with their own houses in need of updates? I believe that applies across the board in so many professions…
I’ve been working on a few things lately that I wanted to catch you up on. One of those is assisting a local martial arts studio with their marketing, t-shirts, and educational materials. I created a 30+ page booklet for upcoming black belts, and had fun brainstorming ways to engage those students in their journeys. It has greatly improved communication and timing for the testing that those students encounter during that time period. It has led to great conversations about the values and identity of that gym and its people.
I have also been working on laser cut projects - mainly with wood and acrylic materials. Christmas brings about the drive to create ornaments and gifts, and I’ve been learning and growing in my abilities and creativity with physical materials, as well as in the digital and 2-D printing world. It has been a fun outlet for me to step into. I now have an Etsy store with a few items for purchase, and I hope to continue that endeavor, as well. Please check it out and connect with me if you’d like to collaborate on a project of that nature.
